What is freelance work?
A: Freelance work is a form of employment where individuals offer their skills and services on a project-by-project basis to various clients or employers, often as independent contractors, rather than being employed by a single company on a long-term basis. According to the United States Government IRS, as a 1099 contract worker, you are considered self employed and your earnings are subject to self-employment tax.
I'm just starting out with freelance work, is the Network for me?
A: Yes! This is exactly why Prosper Allied Health exists - to support you as you're just starting out on your journey. You will benefit from all of the resources provided through the Network.
Can I benefit from joining the Network if I already do freelance work?
A: Yes! There are plenty of included resources that can help you scale and grow your freelance work or turn your services into a business. Reach out to us on the contact form to check in with us and get answers to any specific questions you may have!
Am I responsible for initiating and establishing my freelance work?
A: Yes. The Network will provide you with the resources, guidance, and community support that you'll need to confidently and competently complete the necessary tasks to get your endeavor off the ground.
What is the difference between a freelance worker and a consultant?
A: Freelance workers typically offer specific services independently to various clients on a project basis, managing multiple projects concurrently and handling administrative tasks themselves. Consultants, on the other hand, are experts with specialized knowledge who provide strategic advice and comprehensive solutions to clients. You can provide consultative work to your clients as part of your freelance work offerings.
What is the monthly time commitment for getting the most out of the Network?
A: This depends on some variables, such as your goals and availability to commit to utilizing all of the Network resources. You get to choose your own pace!
Do I get Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for attending any of the workshops?
A: Right now, our workshops don't offer any CEUs (Continuing Education Units), but don't worry, we're working on it! It's one of our top priorities and we hope to roll out this feature very soon. Stay tuned for updates!
What if I want to cancel the Network service?
A: No worries at all! We know life can be unpredictable and things change all the time. That's why you can cancel your Network service at any time, no questions asked. We don't want to lock you into a contract that doesn't work for you.
If you do decide to cancel, we totally understand and we hope you'll consider coming back when the time is right. Our doors will always be open for you!
Can I get a refund if I'm unhappy?
A: We're all about making you happy here! If you're not satisfied with your purchase, just let us know within 14 days of your payment, and we'll refund your money and cancel your Network service.
But hey, life happens, and sometimes we miss deadlines. If you're past the 14-day refund window, don't worry - you can still cancel your Network service to avoid any future charges. We'll be sad to see you go, but we want you to be in control of your commitment to the Network service.
